Jim Foster begins his fourth season as an assistant baseball coach at Washington University in 2015-16. He will be working primarily with the pitchers.
Foster completed his four-year collegiate career at Saint Louis University in 2012. As a senior, he appeared in 16 games and posted a 3.05 ERA. Foster helped the Billikens to a 41-18 record and the Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season championship in 2012. Foster was also a member of SLU's 2010 Atlantic 10 championship team that made an appearance in the NCAA Division I tournament.
A Lake St. Louis, Mo., native, Foster played three years of high scool baseball for Wentzville Holt High School. As a senior, he posted a 5-2 record and 2.13 ERA in 46 innings while helping Wentzville finish second in the Missouri Class 4 State Championship.
Foster graduated from Wentzville Holt High School in 2008 and earned his bachelor's degree in education from Saint Louis University in 2012.
