Claire Voris Named Second-Team All-America
Sophomore pitcher Claire Voris (right) was named to the 2009 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-America Team, as announced Thursday by the NFCA. Voris is the sixth softball student-athlete in school history to earn All-America honors.

Softball Lands Four on NCAA All-Tournament Team
Fresh of its third place finish at the 2009 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional, the softball team had four student-athletes named to the All-Tournament Team. Freshman Alyssa Abramoski (right), sophomore pitcher Claire Voris, senior catcher Lindsay Cavarra and junior third baseman Carter Malouf each earned the honor.
Bears End Season With 7-2 Loss to Webster
The No. 3 seed Washington University softball team ended its season with a 7-2 loss to No. 8 seed Webster University on Sunday in Indianola, Iowa. Washington U., which recorded 35 hits in its previous three wins out of the loser’s bracket, were limited to four hits.

Bears Defeat Luther, 9-0, to Advance at Regionals
The No. 3 seed Washington University in St. Louis softball team won its third-straight elimination game in the 2009 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional with a 9-0 victory over No. 6 seed Luther College on Saturday night at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.
