Rosoff Named Second-Team All-America by NSCAA

St. Louis, Mo., December 17, 2007 – Sophomore forward Caryn Rosoff of the Washington University in St. Louis women’s soccer team bas been named to the 2007 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer All-America Second Team, as announced by the association.

Rosoff, the 2007 University Athletic Association (UAA) Player of the Year, led the Bears with 10 goals and eight assists for 28 points. She scored the game-winning goal in a 3-1 victory over the University of Rochester on Oct. 26, which vaulted the Bears into first place in the UAA standings.

A first-team all-UAA selection in 2006 and 2007, Rosoff led the UAA in points and was second in goals scored. In just two years on the Danforth Campus, Rosoff ranks eighth in school history in goals (22) and points (55).

Rosoff is the sixth All-America selection in school history, joining Christyn Chambers (1998), MeghanMarie Fowler-Finn (2006), Jennifer Hadad (1992), Kristi Kohls (1992) and Rachel Sweeney (1997).

The Bears tied their all-time best win total with a 17-4 overall record, and won the UAA Championship for the second-consecutive season. The Bears qualified for the NCAA tournament for the fourth time under head coach Wendy Dillinger, and advanced to the NCAA sectional round for the second time in as many years. Washington U. finished the season ranked No. 9 in the NSCAA top-25 poll.
