Washington U. Track and Field Postpones Start of WU Invite

St. Louis, Mo., March 27, 2008 – The Washington University track and field team will postpone the start of the 2008 Washington University Invitational meet, scheduled to begin on Thursday, March 27, at the Bushyhead Track in St. Louis, Mo., because of inclement weather.

The three-day invitational was scheduled to commence on Thursday afternoon with competition in the decathlon and heptathlon events.  The decathlon will now begin on Friday, March 28, at Noon, while the heptathlon will get underway on Friday, March 28, at 12:30 p.m.

All other action on Friday will proceed as originally scheduled. Washington University head coach Paul Thornton will provide a revised schedule for Saturday’s action during competition on Friday.
