Bill Ford is in his second year as the Marketing & Digital Media Manager for the Office of Recreation Programs & Services. He is responsible for the on-campus promotion of the Office of Recreation's programs and services. Ford oversees the design and production of signage, brochures and other print materials, such as the Playbook, as well as maintaining the Office of Recreation's website and social media platforms.
Prior to WashU, he spent two years as the web marketing coordinator for the Saint Louis University School of Law. In his role at SLU LAW, he managed social media efforts and helped develop website content.
Ford previously worked in intercollegiate athletics as the associate director of media services at Southern Illinois University Carbondale from 2010-13, where he led publicity efforts for the Saluki women's basketball, volleyball and softball programs. He served as a sports information intern with WashU Athletics during the summer of 2010 after completing a graduate assistantship in the athletics media relations office at Western Illinois University. Ford earned a master's degree in sport management from WIU in 2010.
A native of Carman, Ill., Ford completed his bachelor's degree in journalism at SIU Carbondale in 2006 before working two years as a sportswriter with the Galesburg Register-Mail in Galesburg, Ill.
