Maggie Boze was named the Washington University in St. Louis Interim Men’s and Women’s Crew Coach on Jan. 29, 2016.
Boze has spent the past five months serving as the assistant crew coach, with primary responsibility for the women’s team. She replaces Stephen Harris, who was named the assistant coach for the men’s and women’s varsity rowing programs at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla.
Boze graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in health and human science focusing on physical therapy. She was a four-year letterwinner on the crew team at LMU, and received Rower of the Year honors for the 2011-12 season.
Upon graduation from LMU, Boze spent two years serving as Assistant Rowing Coach at Holy Names Academy in Seattle. She primarily focused on the lightweight women, helping lead Holy Names to an undefeated 2015 spring season and attending the Youth National Championships where the crew finished sixth.
Boze started her coaching career by teaching middle and high school kids how to row at Lake Union Crew summer camps in 2011 and 2013.
