Wagner Receives UAA Athlete of the Week Recognition

St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 5, 2018 – Senior mid-distance runner Annalise Wagner of the No. 16-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's indoor track & field team was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Wagner led the way for WashU in the 800m as four Bears earned points with top-8 finishes. She posted the top-time of the race by crossing the finish line in 2:15.12.  Wagner's time was converted into 2:13.58 which ranks as the fifth best time in DIII. In addition, Wagner was a member of the third place finishing 4x400m relay team which consisted of Sophie Grigaux, Nicky Althoff and Anna Cossio.

The WashU women concluded the Keck DIII Select with 124 points to outpace seven other teams including the host and runner-up Illinois Wesleyan (108). Wagner earned the UAA indoor Athlete of the Week honor for the second time this season and the fourth time in her career.
