St. Louis, Mo., April 19, 2017 — The Washington University men's and women's tennis teams are hosting the 13th Annual Special Olympics Tennis Clinic on Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to Noon at Tao Tennis Center.

Instructors for the clinic include WashU women's tennis coach Kelly Stahlhuth and men's tennis coach Roger Follmer, and student-athletes from both teams.

This is a free event and participants will receive a T-shirt and free lunch. The commemorative T-shirts were made possible by a grant from the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

In addition to a full day of activities, the clinic will focus on improving stroke technique, basic tennis skills, and building appreciation for tennis. The event is expected to draw more than 50 Special Olympic athletes from across the state of Missouri.

Registration deadline is Wednesday, May 3. For additional information, contact Jocelyn Diehl at: diehl@somo.org.
