Ryan Heasley begins his fifth year as an assistant coach at Washington University in St. Louis. Heasley is in his third season serving as the offensive coordinator for WU, and also is the offensive line coach.
Heasley came to Washington University after serving two years as the offensive line coach at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
Prior to his stint at Marietta, he served as a graduate assistant coach at Bethany College in Bethany, W.V., and an assistant coach at Penn Hills High School in Penn Hills, Pa.
A three-year starter on the football team at Bethany from 1995-97, Heasley was an all-Presidents Athletics Conference selection at offensive lineman as a junior and senior.
A co-captain as a senior, he won the Bison Award in 1997, given by the coaches to the senior who displays the most enthusiasm, loyalty and effort to the program. Heasley graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in physical education from Bethany in 1999, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in athletic administration from William Woods University in Fulton, Mo.
Heasley, 33, is married to Nicole Heasley, the sports information director at Maryville University. The couple has one daughter, Emma, who was born Jan. 16, 2006. |
