Larry Kindbom Receives Breaking The Silence Award
Head football coach Larry Kindbom was presented the 2009 Grant Teaff “Breaking the Silence” Award at the 2010 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Convention in Orlando, Fla., because of his hard work and dedication to the prevention of youth suicide.

Brown Earns All-Region Honor by D3football.com
Washington University junior cornerback Brandon Brown was named to the D3football.com All-South Region Second Team, as announced by the Web site. Brown, who earned first-team all-UAA honors, led the conference in interceptions (five) and passes defended (12).

Daiber and Machan Selected For All-Star Game
Senior offensive lineman Jared Daiber (right) and senior defensive back Tim Machan have been selected to represent Team Stars & Stripes, an NCAA Division III all-star team, that will face the Tec Monterrey All Stars in the 2009 Tazón de Estrellas on Saturday, Dec. 19, on the Tec de Monterrey Campus Estado de Mexico.
WU Football Lands 20 on All-UAA Team
The Washington University football team had 20 student-athletes named to the all-University Athletic Association (UAA) Team, as announced today by the league office. Junior running back Jim O’Brien was the lone first-team selection for the Bears on the offensive unit.
