Football Lands Six on NFF Hampshire Honor Society
Washington University in St. Louis had six student-athletes named to the 2009 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF announced on its Web site. Seniors Miles Chan, Adam Hartzler, Jim Manship, Paul Northrop, Brent Sensenich, and Buck Smith each earned the honor.

 


Bears Football Has 22 Named to All-UAA Team
The Washington University in St. Louis football team had 22 student-athletes named to the all-UAA Team, as announced today by the league office. Washington University finished the 2008 season with a 5-5 overall record and a 1-2 mark in the conference.

Bears End Season With 17-0 Loss to No. 12 Case
The football team ended its season with a 17-0 loss to No. 12 Case Western Reserve University on Saturday afternoon at Francis Field in St. Louis, Mo. Prior the to contest, Washington University honored its 14 seniors who played their final game with the Red and Green.

The University of Chicago regained possession of the Founders Cup with a 17-14 victory over Washington University in St. Louis on Saturday at Stagg Field in Chicago, Ill. Senior Buck Smith (right) threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.
