Bears Celebrate Senior Day on Saturday vs. Chicago
The Washington University football team plays its final home game of the 2009 season on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Noon, against the University of Chicago. Prior to the game, there will be a ceremony to honor the 15 seniors appearing in their final regular season home contest.

Tim Johnson Named UAA Athlete of the Week
Junior kicker Tim Johnson has been named the UAA co-Special Teams Athlete of the Week, as announced by the association on Friday. Johnson was 2-for-2 in field goals in WU’s 21-13 loss at Carnegie Mellon University on Oct. 31 in Pittsburgh, Pa. He nailed a career-long 36-yard field to give the Bears a 3-0 lead in the first quarter.
Daiber and Brown Named Academic All-District
Senior offensive lineman Jared Daiber (right) and junior defensive back Brandon Brown of the football team earned ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VII honors, as announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
