A View From Haiti – Arden Farhi '07
Arden Farhi (right), a four-year letterwinner (2004-07) on the Washington University in St. Louis baseball team, spent 10 days in Haiti working for CBS News as an Associate Producer. Farhi graduated from Washington University in 2007 with a degree in political science, and has been working for CBS News for three years.
Lehmann Named Jewish Sports Review All-American
Washington University senior right fielder Zander Lehmann has been selected to the Jewish Sports Review College Baseball NCAA Division II/III/NAIA All-America First-Team, as announced by the publication. In 2009, Lehmann led Washington U. with a .423 batting average, and also ranked first in home runs (seven), RBI (30), runs scored (47).
Williams and Lehmann Earn All-Central Region Honors
Senior right fielder Zander Lehmann of the Washington University baseball team earned American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings first-team All-Central Region Honors and senior pitcher Brian Williams was named to the third-team, as announced by the association. Both earn All-Region honors for the first time since 2007.
Lehmann Named First-Team Academic All-American
Washington University senior right fielder Zander Lehmann has been selected to the 2009 ESPN the Magazine Baseball Academic All-America First-Team, as announced Tuesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America. He becomes the first student-athlete in Washington U. history to earn first-team baseball Academic All-America honors.
