Washington U. Women's Tennis Cruises to Sweep of McKendree University
St. Louis, Mo., April 11, 2012 - The No. 13-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team recorded its first sweep of the season with a 9-0 win over McKendree University on Wednesday afternoon at the Tao Tennis Center.
Washington U. (11-4) picked up forfeit wins at No. 3 doubles, as well as No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Junior Kate Klein and sophomore Betsy Edershile both swept their singles opponents by scores of 6-0, 6-0, as the Bears surrendered just five total points in the match.
