No. 12 Washington U. Women’s Tennis Edged by No. 10 Bowdoin

Palm Springs, Calif., March 14, 2013 – The No. 12-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women’s tennis team suffered a 5-4 loss to No. 10 Bowdoin College Thursday afternoon to end the Bears' five-match trip to California.

• The loss snapped the Bears’ three-match win streak.
• Freshman Jamie Silverberg has won all eight of her singles matches in duals, and improved her overall singles record to 14-1.
• Washington U. has won at No. 3 singles in each of its last seven matches.
• It was the first time the Bears have lost this season when leading after doubles.
• Two of Washington U.’s three losses have been 5-4 decisions.
