Emma Brown and Lee Ann Felder Named to 2010 NSCAA All-Central Region Team

St. Louis, Mo., December 10, 2010 — The Washington University in St. Louis women’s soccer team had two student-athletes named to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Performance Subaru NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer All-Central Region team, as announced Friday by the Association.
Junior forward Emma Brown and junior midfielder Lee Ann Felder each earned second-team accolades for the first time in their career.
Brown, a first-team all-University Athletic Association (UAA) honoree, led the team in scoring with five goals and four assists for 14 points. She scored game-winning goals against No. 15 Calvin College (1-0) on Sept. 3 and against Concordia-Moorhead on Oct. 25. Brown has appeared in 56 career games and ranks seventh all-time in game-winning goals (seven), ninth in points (55), 10th in goals (21) and 13th in assists (12).
Felder, who joined Brown on the all-UAA first-team, started all 21 games for the Bears in the midfield, scoring four goals with three assists for 11 points. She tied for the team lead in game-winning goals with two, scoring game-winners at Case Western Reserve University on Oct. 15 and against Fontbonne University on Oct. 23. Felder has started 64 of 66 career games played, and ranks seventh in all-time game-winning goals (seven) and 12th in assists (13).
Washington University finished the 2010 season with an 11-8-2 overall record and qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament for the fifth-consecutive season.
