Lee Ann Felder Named Third-Team All-American by D3Soccer.com
ALL-AMERICA TEAM
St. Louis, Mo., January 2, 2012 — Washington University in St. Louis senior midfielder Lee Ann Felder was named to the 2011 D3Soccer.com Women's Soccer Division III Third-Team All-America Team, as announced by the website.
Felder also earned second-team All-America and first-team all-Central Region honors by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). She is the eighth student-athlete in school history to earn All-America accolades.
Felder, a first-team all-University Athletic Association (UAA) honoree, led the conference with nine assists from her midfield position. She also scored two goals as a senior, including the game-winner in a 2-1 victory over College of St. Benedict in the NCAA Sectional Semifinals. Felder started 84 of 86 games in her career on the Danforth Campus, and ranks fifth in school history in assists (21), eighth in game-winning goals (eight) and ninth in points (58).
Washington University completed the 2011 season with a school record 18-5 overall mark and advanced to the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals for the fifth time in school history. The Bears also placed second in the UAA with a 5-2 mark. Washington U. was ranked No. 8 in the final D3Soccer.com Top-25 Poll.
