Burnstein to be Featured on Spring Championships Show on Sunday
St. Louis, Mo., June 13, 2012 – Washington University in St. Louis 2012 graduate Michael Burnstein will be one of the student-athletes featured as part of the CBS Sports 2012 NCAA Spring Sports Highlight Show, scheduled to air on CBS on Sunday, June 17 at 4 p.m. (ET).
Burnstein and 2011 Washington University graduate David Spandorfer teamed together to found Janji, a running apparel company whose funds help provide relief for the global food and water crisis. CBS will feature a story about Janji during the highlight show, which will tell stories of NCAA student-athletes from all divisions.
Burnstein finished his career at Washington University by earning All-America honors in the 10,000 meters at the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships. It marked his third-straight All-America honors in the event. In the fall, Burnstein earned cross country All-America honors for the third time in his career, becoming the first student-athlete in Washington U. school history to achieve the feat.
