Washington University’s Jasmine Williams Receives UAA Athlete of the Week Honors

St. Louis, Mo., May 8, 2012 – Washington University in St. Louis sophomore Jasmine Williams was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season, as announced by the Association.

Williams received Athlete of the Week accolades after a career-best performance at the Monmouth Fighting Scot Invitational on May 5. She cleared a career-best height of 1.68 meters to finish second in the women’s high jump. The height was one centimeter higher than her previous best, and moved her into second on the all-time list at Washington University. The mark also moved Williams into 10th on the NCAA Division III performance list this season.
