Washington University’s Anna Etherington Named UAA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

St. Louis, Mo., Jan. 28, 2013 – Following a season-best performance at the Rose-Hulman Engineer Invite, junior Anna Etherington was selected as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Indoor Field Event Athlete of the Week, as announced by the Association.

Etherington equaled her season-best by clearing 3.75 meters to win the women’s pole vault at the Engineer Invite hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Saturday, Jan. 26. The mark ranks first in the UAA and second in NCAA Division III this season. This is the third time Etherington has received UAA Indoor Athlete of the Week honors in her career, and the first time this season.
