Emily Warner Named UAA Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
St. Louis, Mo., Jan. 21, 2014 – Washington University in St. Louis sophomore Emily Warner was selected as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the Association.
Warner led a 1-2-3 finish for the Washington U. women in the 800 meters at the Titan Triangular hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University Saturday. She placed first in the event with a time of 2:16.27, which is the fastest time in NCAA Division III this season. Warner also led off Washington U.’s 1,600 relay team that finished second in a time of 4:06.34, which is eighth on the Division III performance list. This marks the third time in Warner’s career that she has been named the UAA Athlete of the Week.
