Adam Putterman Named Central Region Player of the Week

St. Louis, Mo., March 1, 2012 – Washington University in St. Louis junior Adam Putterman was named the Division3tennis.com Central Region Player of the Week, the website announced on Thursday.

Putterman posted a perfect 3-0 record at No. 1 singles to highlight the Bears' fourth-place finish at the 2012 ITA Indoor National Team Championships in St. Peter, Minn. He ousted all three of his opponents in straight-sets, including a 6-2, 6-2 win over Kenyon’s No. 26 ranked Paul Burgin in the third-place match.

Putterman also teamed with freshman Ross Putterman to post a 1-2 record at No. 1 doubles. Adam Putterman is 15-2 in singles and 10-3 in doubles for a combined 25-5 record.

Third-ranked Washington University (3-2) has a week off before hosting NCAA Division II Ferris State University on Tuesday, March 6, at 3:30 p.m.
