Dylan Richter and Chris Klimek Garner All-Region Honors

St. Louis, Mo., March 16, 2012 – Washington University in St. Louis senior guard Dylan Richter and sophomore forward Chris Klimek each picked up All-Region honors, as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and D3hoops.com this week.
Richter earned NABC all-Midwest Regional and D3hoops.Com First-Team all-Midwest Region honors, while Klimek picked up D3hoops.com third-team all-Midwest Regional accolades.
Richter started all 27 games, and led the team and was fifth in the UAA averaging 16.4 points per game. The 2012 University Athletic Association (UAA) Player of the Year also led the team and the conference with 75 three-pointers made. Richter scored 20 points on Feb. 3, at Rochester, becoming the 20th member of the 1,000-point club. He dropped in a career-best 33 points on nine three-pointers in a 99-88 win over No. 4 ranked Emory University on Jan. 29.
Richter appeared in 102 career games and finished his career ranked sixth in school history in three-pointers made (152) and 19th on the all-time scoring list (1,112). He will compete in the 2012 NABC Reese's Division III All-Star Game on Saturday, March 17, in Salem, Va. 
Klimek, a second-team all-UAA honoree, emerged in the second half of the season and finished second on the team in scoring (12.1 ppg) while pulling down a team-best 5.4 rebounds per game. He also ranked sixth in the UAA in field-goal percentage (.530). Klimek scored in double figures in 16 of 20 games played, and dropped in a career-best 22 points at Brandeis University on Feb. 17.
Washington University finished the 2011-12 season with a 20-7 overall mark, and won the 2012 UAA Championship and made an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The NABC Coaches' Division III All-America Team and the D3hoops.com All-America Team will be announced on Saturday.
