Twitter Time With Junior Guard Alan Aboona
ALAN ABOONA - BIO
Q. What is your Twitter handle and how did you come up with it?
A. @aboonboon12 – Aboonboon was my nickname growing up base off the song “Boom Boom Boom” and 12 was my number in high school (and would be now if @cooney_time didn’t steal it).
Q. How often do you check Twitter?
A. Only when I am in class (just kidding mom and dad) (But seriously) or when I get notifications.
Q. What would you say is your average number of Tweets?
A. I’m a very streaky tweeter. Some days I’ll rattle off five great tweets in one day and then the next day I won’t tweet at all.
Q. Which of your teammates has the best Tweets and why?
A. Kevin Bischoff (@therealkballa) and Jordan Rapp (@jrapp33) are consistently the best especially on road trips or when we get delayed on a plane (like I currently am when writing this). Also I’m going to make my own category: worst tweeter – Chris Klimek (@cklimek33).
Q. The people I follow in basketball are…
A. To be honest most of the people I follow are involved in basketball, but Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons), Doug Gottlieb (@GottliebShow) and LeBron James (@KingJames).
Q. Someone who you wouldn't think I follow is…
A. Jesus Christ (@Jesus_M_Christ) – it’s a parody account (obviously) of Jesus that is usually good for a laugh or two.
Q. The people whose tweets you can't miss…
A. Bill Clinton (@PimpBillClinton) – parody account, Peyton’s Head (@PeytonsHead) (because Peyton Manning has a huge head, it needs its own twitter account), Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell), and I guess I’ll give Nick Burt (@BurtAlert25) a shout out.
Q. I wish_____was on Twitter.
A. My mom. The amount of misspelled words that she sends me in a short text message is something I wish everyone could see.
Q. What Washington U. coach or staff member do you wish was on Twitter?
A. Coach Morse on the women’s basketball team. That way she can give me fashion critiques on a 24-hour basis.
Q. Describe your Twitter followers.
A. My homies!!!
