Mark Edwards to Speak at Coaches vs. Cancer Shootout Tip Off Breakfast on November 10
St. Louis, Mo., October 6, 2010 – Washington University head men’s basketball coach Mark Edwards will be one of five featured speakers at the Inaugural Coaches vs. Cancer Shootout Tip Off Breakfast, slated for Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Chaifetz Arena on the campus of Saint Louis University. The meet and greet begins at 7 a.m., with the program schedule to start at 8 a.m.
Edwards will be joined on the panel by men's basketball coaches Kevin Carroll (Maryville), Lee McKinney (Fontbonne), and Harry Statham (McKendree). Rick Majerus of Saint Louis University will be the guest speaker, while Tom Ackerman of KMOX Radio will serve as the emcee.
Edwards enters his 30th season the Danforth Campus with an overall record of 529-239 (.689). The winning coach in school history, Edwards has guided the Bears to a school-record 26-consecutive winning seasons, 10 University Athletic Association (UAA) championships, 15 NCAA Tournaments and the 2008 and 2009 NCAA Division III National Championship.
