St. Louis, Mo., May 11, 2012 – Washington University in St. Louis head football coach Larry Kindbom will welcome 33 new faces to the football program this fall for the opening of camp on August 9.
“I am really excited about the entering freshman class for 2016. It is not a large class, but we cover every position on the field with quality athletes and people,” said Kindbom, the winningest coach in school history with a 143-87 (.622) overall record at Washington University. “Our class is very athletic, and we have good speed coming in at several of the skilled positions. Most of all, we have a class of competitors, who will quickly help make our football team better.”
The Class of 2016 features representatives from 14 different states, including nine players from Illinois, five from California, four from Missouri, three from Ohio, and two from Florida and Texas.
