Phill Stoecker Named to D3Proday.com All-America Team
Voorhees, N.J. December 27, 2011 – Washington University in St. Louis senior tight end Phill Stoecker was named to the second-team D3Proday.com All-America offensive team, as announced by the website.
Stoecker, a first-team all-University Athletic Association (UAA) honoree, was fourth on the team with 19 catches for 175 yards and three touchdowns in 2011. He picked up D3football.com Team of the Week honors on Sept. 7 after catching a career-high six passes for 41 yards and three touchdowns in the Bears’ 28-10 season-opening win at Knox College.
Stoecker, a three-time all-conference selection, had 29 receptions for 275 yards and three touchdowns in his four-year career. He started 15 games his first two seasons at right tackle, before moving to tight end where he made starts in the final 20 games of his career.

The selection board is made up of pro scouts, NFL and CFL agents and former NFL coaches and players who evaluate players on their senior year, past performance, team accolades and pro potential.
Last year, over 140 top DII and DIII players, including 13 All-Americans and 134 All-Conference players competed.
This year, the East Preps regionals combines are set for New Jersey, Houston, Chicago and Orlando and the Top 100 DII and DIII players will compete in New Jersey on March 2, 2012, at the 2012 DII and DIII Pro Day National Scouting Combine presented by East Preps.
Washington University finished the 2011 season with a 6-4 overall record and placed second in the UAA with a 2-1 record.
