Brandon Brown Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

St. Louis, Mo., November 10, 2010 – Washington University in St. Louis senior defensive back Brandon Brown was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, as announced by the website on Wednesday.

Brown made four tackles and limited the University Athletic Association’s (UAA) leading receiver Zach Homyk to five catches for 41 yards in the Bears’ 14-13 win at Case Western Reserve University on Saturday in Cleveland, Ohio.

He also had three pass break-ups, a forced fumble, and a blocked field goal in the fourth quarter to help preserve the victory for the Bears. Brown leads the conference in passes defended (14) and punt return average (8.4).

Washington University (7-2, 2-0 UAA) closes out the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 13, when it faces the University of Chicago in Chicago, Ill., in a game that will determine the UAA championship and a possible NCAA postseason bid. Kickoff is set for Noon (CT), at Stagg Field.
