Washington University’s Brandon Rogalski Named to D3Baseball.com Team of the Week
St. Louis, March 28, 2012 – Washington University in St. Louis senior outfielder Brandon Rogalski was named to the fourth edition of the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week, as announced by the website.
Rogalski batted a team-best .615 (16-for-26) to lead Washington U. to five wins last week. He recorded multiple hits in all five wins for the Bears, including going 4-for-5 at the plate in wins over Webster University and University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He tallied four RBIs and a team-high eight runs, while also finishing 5-for-5 in stolen-base attempts.
Rogalski leads NCAA Division III with 44 hits this season, and ranks 22nd in runs scored (26). Following last week’s games, he moved into third on Washington U.’s all-time career hits list (183), fifth in stolen bases (44), sixth in doubles (38), and seventh in RBIs (121).
Rogalski is the second Washington U. baseball player to be named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week this season, joining freshman shortstop Andrew Goldstick who received the honor on March 7.
