Washington University’s Stephen Bonser Named to D3Baseball.com Team of the Week

St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 26, 2013 – Washington University in St. Louis senior pitcher Stephen Bonser was selected to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week after a standout performance in his first game of the season last weekend.

Bonser, who was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Pitcher of the Week Monday, threw a 10-inning complete game in his first start of 2013 as Washington U. earned a 3-2 10-inning win over No. 10-ranked Webster University Feb. 23. He allowed just two hits, both in the third inning, before shutting down the Gorloks for the final seven innings of the game. It marked Bonser’s 12th complete game of his career, and also gave him his 12th-career win. He recorded five strikeouts to bring his career total to 98, and lowered his career ERA to 3.19 in 24 career appearances.
