Miguel Davis Finishes 2010 Season as Toughest to Strikeout in Division III
St. Louis, Mo., June 1, 2010 – Washington University in St. Louis baseball junior infielder Miguel Davis ended the 2010 season as the toughest batter to strike out in NCAA Division III. He finished the year with a ratio of 124-1, striking out just once in 124 at-bats.
Davis’ at-bat to strikeout ration not only led all of Division III, but also ranked first in the nation among all three NCAA Divisions.
Starting all 32 games for Washington University last season, Davis finished the year with a .315 batting average and tied for the team lead with 31 runs scored. He also hit three doubles and a triple with 18 RBIs and four stolen bases.
The Washington U. baseball team concluded its season with a 17-15 overall record, securing the program’s 12-consecutive winning season.
