Rick Rone
Assistant Coach, Men's Soccer
Richard “Rock” Rone is set to begin his seventh season as an assistant men’s soccer coach at Washington University in St. Louis.
Prior to joining the Washington U. coaching staff in 2006, Rone spent 11 years as the head women’s soccer coach at the former Harris-Stowe State College, now University. He compiled 83 wins while at Harris-Stowe from 1995-2005.
Rone also served as the head girls’ soccer coach at Nerinx Hall High School in St. Louis from 1996-2001. In his six seasons at Nerinx, Rone guided the Markers to a 118-20-9 record.
A St. Louis native, Rone graduated from Affton High School in 1974. He played soccer at both Forest Park Community College and Harris-Stowe following high school. Rone earned his bachelor’s degree in education in 1984.
Rone, who resides in St. Louis with his wife, Cecily, is employed at the Animal Protection Association of Missouri (A.P.A.).
