Kerman Mason

Asisstant Coach/Defensive Backs

Kerman Mason begins his second season as an assistant football coach at Washington University in St. Louis. Mason, who will coach the defensive backs, arrived on the Danforth Campus after coaching high school football in Missouri for 12 years.

Mason spent three years as an assistant coach at Parkway South and four years at Ritenour, and served as the defensive backs and junior varsity co-head coach the past six seasons at Chaminade College Prep.

Mason played four seasons of college football at Drake University and was a second-team all-Pioneer League selection at defensive back in 1995. He graduated from Drake in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, and earned a master’s degree in teaching from Lindenwood University in 2008.

A 1992 graduate of Parkway South High School, Mason and his wife, Kelly, have one son: Necho (10). Mason works full-time sales at Lohr Distributing Company in St. Louis.
