Kathy Lasater begins her 32nd year at Washington University, and 24th as the administrative assistant in the intramural office at Washington University in St. Louis' Department of Athletics.

Besides her role in intramurals, Lasater's responsibilities include duties assigned by the director of athletics and assisting the coaching and support staff in various capacities.

Lasater worked in the WU Office of Student Affairs from 1980-88, when she served in a similar manner under the Dean of Students. Before then, she served as a reading teacher for one year at the Blue Hills Corporation. Lasater began her work in education in the division of curriculum with Saint Louis Public Schools from 1966-74.

A native of Saint Louis, Lasater earned her bachelor's degree in education from Harris-Stowe College in 1978. She followed that with her master's degree in education from Saint Louis University in 1979.
