Jim Anderson enters his first season as an assistant athletic trainer following 26 years as the head athletic trainer with the St. Louis Rams in the National Football League.

He will oversee coverage for men’s and women’s cross country and track and field, and assist with football, soccer and men's and women's basketball.

Anderson arrives on the Danforth Campus with 31 years experience as a certified athletic trainer, at both the collegiate and professional level. He also spent three seasons as an athletic trainer at the University of Southern California from 1979-82, and the head athletic trainer for the Oakland Invaders of the USFL from 1983-84.

He is a 1979 graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, and is also an active member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), State of Missouri Board of Healing Acts and the American College of Sports Medicine.
