Assistant Coach, Men's Soccer
Javier Riscart begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Washington University men's soccer team in 2013. He is responsible for providing statistical analysis for the players, and helping with team conditioning.
Riscart joins the Washington U. staff after serving as an assistant coach for the Sanluqueno Soccer Club, a member of the second B division in Spain. He was the physical trainer for the team and also provided statistical analysis of games. Riscart also helped with fitness at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide Sevilla gym.
As a member of his hometown team, Club Deportivo Sanlucar, from ages 8-15, Riscart helped the team win four provicial titles and advance to the semifinals at the Andalusia Regional Championship in Spain. He also participated in an International Championship in Barcelona, Spain, where his team ranked sixth.
A native of Sanlucar de Barrameda, Cadiz, Spain, Riscart received a bachelor's degree in physical education from Universidad de Cadiz in 2011 and added a bachelor's degree in sports sciences from Universidad Pablo de Olavide in 2013. He currently resides in St. Louis where he is teaching Spanish to first graders at the St. Louis Language Immersion School.
